Vivid Sanity Episode

Vivid Sanity Episode
(Hyperaware Sojourn)
He dreams a lot, a fucking lot. The koko is that He is always logical and analytic in that state and the various realms He concocts are multi-versed. You would wonder why the title has sanity in it instead of something else or now you do…
The other day He woke up on the streets, on His feet, in a familiar place and then He knew He was fucked up. This wasn’t a dream, His senses were all active and perception told Him. It was a confused reality to Him.
He entered through a door sized opening on an old fence into a somewhat familiar environment. It looked like a prison or a boarding school but it was too busy and spacious to be any of them. The people He observed were very free and roamed as such. Some were talking to themselves, some were just being themselves, some were in pairs, some had beautiful dresses, some appeared to just be occupying space, some had flimsy clothing, some cared too much and some didn’t seem to. He knew something was amiss. Then he saw a familiar face that ran to Him and held him across the shoulder expressing an over cheerful gesture. It was then He asked where that was. His friend just stepped back and looked at Him in surprised and said “welcome back”. An older fellow in a dusty vapid looking suit and spectacle come along from behind and asked His friend a question. All the while, there was an absent minded girl that He didn’t recognize tagging-on on the other side of Him. It was at this moment He realized that the environment was an institution for unbalanced people. He didn’t form words but He seemed to ask His friend “how far gone He was and what was He doing there”.  That was when His friend told Him that He had been gone for two days.
It all started to make sense, the waking up on His feet, the cleared perception of there and the there itself. In thought and check to confirm His state of mind He walked in silence toward the hostels with His friends. It was utter chaos. Ladies giggling and bathing on the corridors, someone was cooking right beside them and there were strange looking rooms with doors ajar, rooms with funny coloured lighting, and everybody being ignorant of His presence. His friend couldn’t choose a better time to disappear into oblivion never to be thought of again. Walking along the corridors, He asked Himself, if He really just recovered from two days insanity or if He was still insane. He knew He heard never heard of this institution. So how come all this. He thought “either way He shouldn't be there”. He walked toward a group of well dressed people in a dense cluster and saw the main gate. He inspected His gear and then stepped up to the secretary to forge an excuse to be let out. He told her He came on a visit and she should look for His name on the ledger and let Him sign out. She was still looking up His name when He sneaked out through the gates. By now He wasn't worried about His sanity, He was sure. He stopped briefly to play human bowling, flinging a boy to fight other boys and later He skied on a sandy sloped on a mining hill He thought was in Adamwa. He strolled through a park and a street of multicultural folks trying to discern where He was. When He found Aba out, His “what the fuck” expression was priceless and His next grand plan was how to get back home safe and sane…
